Admissions

LCOOU has an open‐door admissions policy that welcomes all who wish to complete the application process. LCOOU does not discriminate or tolerate discrimination based on race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, disability status, religion, age or military or veteran status in access to its programs and activities.

Applicants who meet the admission standards stated in this section are eligible for admission to the university. Admission to a specific major may require additional criteria. Admission to the university does not guarantee acceptance to an intended major, which is a separate process. Please refer to the Catalog for program specific requirements.

Readmission

A student who has not enrolled at LCOOU for two or more consecutive terms, not including summer, must reapply for admission. Upon readmission, the student must follow the degree requirements in place at the time of reentry, as degree plans may change over time. To graduate, students must complete the current degree plan in their field of study. Students who have been expelled from the university are not eligible for readmission.
