Emergency Notifications and Campus Closures
In a campus emergency, an all-call message will be sent to all campus phones, including those in classrooms. Depending on the nature of the emergency, local radio stations may also be notified. Email messages will also be sent to students, and updates will be provided as the situation is resolved.
Fire Notification
If a fire occurs, the fire alarm will sound. Faculty and staff will lead students to a designated gathering point, located away from the university buildings. On the main campus, this assembly point is the fire pit in the southwest corner of the campus grounds. Fire drills will be conducted periodically throughout the year to familiarize students with fire procedures. Classroom windows are labeled for easy identification, allowing occupants to notify emergency services of their location if needed.
