Student Rights Under FERPA
Students have the right to:
- Inspect and review their educational records by submitting a written request to the Registrar. Students requesting copies will be charged according to university fee rates.
- Consent to disclosures of information identifying them personally, except where disclosures are permitted without consent by law.
- Request corrections to educational records they believe are inaccurate or misleading by petitioning the Registrar with clear identification of the disputed record and reasons for correction. Note: The right to challenge a grade is not covered by this policy.
- Students may request that this information be withheld from public disclosure by notifying the Registrar in writing. Non-Disclosure of Public Information forms are available from the Registrar’s Office.
