Student Organizations

Student Senate

The LCOOU Student Senate represents the interests of the student body by authorizing and passing legislation to improve student life and the overall quality of the institution. The Senate consults with faculty, staff, administration, and government entities. It plans events throughout the year, oversees the approval of new student organizations, and appoints students to serve on committees. The Senate welcomes suggestions on how to better serve the student body, and interested students should visit the Dean of Students Office.

Student Ambassadors

Student Ambassadors are current students who serve as a link between LCOOU and the outside community. They share their experiences with prospective students, lead campus tours, attend high schools, and participate in community expos. The program provides ambassadors with valuable work experience, helping them improve communication, leadership, teamwork, and interaction with different age groups.
