Library Services
The library caters to both the university and the wider community, featuring a diverse collection of popular and curriculum materials. It includes a unique Native American collection with books, periodicals, microfilms, video and audio recordings, photographs, and maps. Additionally, the library offers quiet study areas, conference rooms, a children’s section, computer access, and a cozy seating area designed like a wigwam with a fireplace.
The library’s website LCOOU Community Library provides access to the catalog and databases like JSTOR, Ethnic Newswatch, and EbscoHost. For off-campus access, students and staff can email library@lco.edu for passwords. As part of the Northern Waters Library Service Merlin Consortium, library cardholders can use their cards at all member libraries in Northwest Wisconsin and request materials through interlibrary loan. Library cards are available to everyone from first grade onward.
