NAS 226 Us History 1836 to the Present
This course is a survey of United States history form 1836 to the present. Historical events are explored through a local perspective connecting the students to the significance of such events. The course aims to provide a chronological sequence of topics that have resulted in the current shape of the nation, government, and politics. Diverse perspectives are given, especially those concerning the impact made by women and other historical minority (racial and ethnic) groups.
