BUS 200 Computerized Accounting

This course reviews fundamental accounting concepts and principles through the use of QBO (QuickBooks Online) application and the analysis of business events. The content complements accounting principles and financial accounting. Students will be able to set up QBO for a business, use it to record business events, and use it to generate financial statements and reports. Students will learn the value of a computerized accounting information system and how it can be used to communicate important information to business owners, investors, and creditors. Students will input payroll and journal entries. They will use correcting, adjusting, and closing entries to complete the financial statement and reports. Students use a computer accounting package to solve accounting problems. Requisites: BUS-222 with a grade C or better â€" must be completed prior to taking this course.
